Ranya Brooks is the Strategic Partnerships Manager at BPE (Boston Plan for Excellence). The focus of her work is to recruit and retain education professionals in Boston Public Schools through the Boston Teacher Residency and Dudley Promise Corps. Her strategies include building, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with HBCUs, Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), community-based organizations, and other “values partners” to create a robust and sustainable pipeline of educators who hold identities that are reflective of the students they serve (e.g., first-generation and low-income college graduates; Black, Latinx/a/o, linguistically diverse folks, etc.) into BPS.

Ranya began her career in education as a classroom teacher back home in Northern Virginia. She has an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Classical Studies with a minor in Human Development and Education from Dartmouth College.
