Stephanie Valerio

2019-2020 Inspire Math Fellow

Stephanie Valerio went to high school in Brockton, MA and then attended UMASS-Boston where she studied Mathematics and minored in Psychology. After completing her undergrad she worked for Project Reach as an assistant for a program that offers tutoring, college visits, and support in the process of transitioning from high school to college for underserved populations. As a part of the team she supported students writing college entry essays and supported in informative presentations where students learned about post-secondary options. Currently, she teaches mathematics at Boston Collaborative High School, a new Alternative Education High School for students who are overage and under credited. She is looking forward to participating in the INSPIRE-Math Fellowship in search for creative and alternative ways of teaching mathematics.
