Rima Rebei (Class of 2021) is a student at MIT studying Computer Science and Engineering (course 6-3). Rima is most interested in the human-computer interaction, studying the intersection of Computer Science and Brain and Cognitive Science. This summer, Rima is working as a Johnson & Johnson UROP scholar and hopes to create an app that tackles implicit biases in the classroom that can make a difference in teacher education. During her first year at MIT, she worked as a research assistant in the Lab of Social Machines at the MIT Media Lab. She worked under the Playful Works project, which include a set of apps that empower human learning networks in order to establish an engaging and effective medium for child literacy development.
