Kristen is in her second year of teaching 7th grade math at the Davis Leadership Academy in Dorchester. Prior to becoming a teacher, Kristen worked for several years as a visual, web, user experience/user interface, and learning designer, and has had her own design company since 2005. In her work designing online courses, she wanted to learn more about the intersection of user experience and learning experience. She received her Ed.M. in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2015. During her time at HGSE, she was inspired by the dedication of her classmates who were teachers and wanted to experience teaching in the classroom to help students in her community reach their greatest potential. She is looking forward to being part of this fellowship.
