Katy Briggs is a 5th grade inclusion math and science teacher at the McKay School in East Boston. She worked for educational non-profits in Ghana and Vermont before discovering her love for working directly with students. She relocated to Boston to attend the Boston Teacher Residency and has been teaching upper elementary ever since! Katy loves to facilitate mathematical discussions in which her students are able to see themselves and each other as sense-makers. She is excited about the opportunity to connect with fellow math teachers in Boston Public Schools and learn more about blended opportunities for learning for her colleagues and students.
