Jennifer Lambertz is entering her fourteenth year at the Lyon K-12, a full inclusion school in Brighton. While at the Lyon she has taken on many roles, including 7th grade math and science teacher, 7/8 grade science teacher, fourth grade teacher, and 7/8 math teacher. She graduated from Boston College with Bachelor’s in elementary education and human development and a Master’s degree in special education. She is passionate about STEM education and the past few years she has specifically focused on redesigning math education in the classroom. She believes there needs to be more joy and collaboration in the math classroom. We need to empower our students through math not further traumatize them. Most recently she shifted to an instructional coaching role for grades 7-12 where she is working with the STEM team.
