G. R. Marvez is a PhD Student in STEM Education and Cognitive Science at Tufts University. Marvez graduated from MIT’s Comparative Media Studies program with the Teaching Systems Lab. As a researcher, their work focused on helping teachers prepare to facilitate difficult classroom discussions through digital conversation simulators. They have research experience in game design, education, biotechnology, and social studies. They hold an undergraduate degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT. Outside of school, they enjoy creating puzzles, learning Russian, and designing haunted houses.
