Erin Capasso just started her 12th year teaching at Boston Public Schools. She started her career in Boston working at Mckinley South End Academy for 5 years. There she worked with high school students with emotional impairments. She transferred to Excel Academy for 1 year working in a lab cluster servicing emotional impairments in a less restricted setting. Though she loved working with this population at the end of her 6th year in BPS she got an opportunity to help build a middle school in an already existing high school Boston Green Academy. She has been teaching there since 2014, here she works in a substantially separate setting teaching middle school students with a variety of disabilities. For the last two years Erin has participated in a Collaborative for using technology in the classroom. She currently lives at home with her husband and four children ages from 22 to 10 months.
