Christine Yancey is a fourth grade teacher at Mather Elementary in Dorchester. Teaching was her first love, so after 26 years she left the legal world and obtained her master’s degree in elementary education through the Boston Teacher Residency program at UMass Boston. She loves to hear the ‘Aha’ moments in math that always occur when it all clicks for her students. She is excited about the INSPIRE Fellowship as it gives her an opportunity to reflect on and continue to develop her own practice and also gain valuable skills and knowledge that she can take back to her colleagues.
