Christina Balkaran is a high school math teacher at the Dr. William Henderson K-12 Inclusion School in Dorchester. This is her sixth year teaching math at her school. She works in a fully inclusive setting, which means that she teaches students of all abilities in the same classroom. She received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Connecticut College. After doing astronomical research at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, she decided to go back to school for a Masters in Education at Lesley University. She has participated in a variety of math fellowships and professional opportunities designed to provide equitable access to all students.
