Dr. Christian Servin is member of several professional associations including the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He serves to different computing committees at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). He is member of the ACM Committee for Computing Education in Community Colleges (CCECC), where he develops and updates curricular guidelines in computing for two-year colleges. He currently teaches computer science and cybersecurity courses at El Paso Community College (EPCC) and his primary research area is in computer science education, which spans from best practices in education to policy development in community colleges.
